March 2026

Dear Friends,

We are in the news!  BKCT is one of the local groups awarded a grant by Fife Climate Hub through our membership of FCCAN (Fife Communities Climate Action Network). This will support climate related activities. Our project involves creating a wildflower meadow and dead hedge for wildlife, various workshops and activities to get people involved with climate action including making bug hotels and bird boxes. See this link:

Recent events have been much enjoyed. These included nest box building and sharing knowledge about local history and information, facilitated by Karen Masters.

Thursday 12th March, at 7.30pm is our next evening talk. It's by Fiona Young and will be about the Silverburn Flax Mill restoration and the process of processing flax.

I'll send out reminders of other future events nearer the time, and I attach below a copy of our winter/spring programme (click to see full pages).

Yours sincerely,

Aileen (Chairperson) and Alison (Secretary)
