Jubilee Hall Community Garden
The hall is fortunate to have a garden of approximately 540 sq. m. at the rear. Since 2017 this has been developed as a place for quiet contemplation, for community social activities and for growing produce, mainly fruit and herbs.
Our small orchard has started producing some fine apples.
The Jubilee hall underwent major renovations in 2023 for the first time creating direct access from the main hall to the garden. The vision has been to bring the hall to the garden and he garden to the hall.
Inevitably, with access not possible for 7 months during building works and a very wet winter our garden is needing considerable care and attention. This includes recovery from having to access the septic tank in the middle and delayed landscaping.
Ordinarily the garden is open during daylight hours 7 days per week until 10pm at night.
Access is temporarily suspended while we get the garden in order again.
We have an enthusiastic garden group that meets on the third Sunday of the month 10am to 12 with some lunch provided afterwards. The garden project coordinator is Sandra Costigan. New members are always welcome, and other volunteering opportunities are available by arrangement (contact us at burnturk.hall@gmail.com).
We hope to restore the space to its best very soon.

Tribute to Clifford Webster 1960-2023
Following the sad passing of our longterm garden group member Cliff, who also worked in the garden in his youth, his friends in the local community plan to install a tribute to him in the garden.
