December 2025
Dear Friends,
It's been a fascinating and busy year for us in Burnturk. After the annual barbeque and snail race (two different occasions!) we celebrated Burnturk's Putting Green's 100th anniversary. MacMillan morning in September raised £750 for this marvellous charity. And not forgetting our regular litter picks, the latest being earlier this month. Nor our fabulous garden volunteers (see them on right) who planted purple crocus corms donated by Howe of Fife Rotary to raise awareness of the Worldwide Rotary Campaign to eradicate polio. 24th October is World Polio Day (the weather wasn't good for them).
Our winter programme included a talk on Nepal (6th November) and a guided walk on an organic farm (9th November). Our Felting Workshop on Sunday 23rd November (image below to right) and Family Scot's night on 29th November were good successes. We now look forward to the Christmas wreath workshop on Sunday 14th December (click image below for details). The programme is below centre (click and expland image); the events page has details.
