Tue 3rd Dec  19:30            Burnturk Rural Riders: talk on bits and bridle fitting by Jen Roy, the Springfield Saddler. Cost £5, including tea and coffee. Open to all.

Thu 5th Dec   10:30           Coffee and chat. Just come along. Donations welcome.

Fri  6th Dec    18:00           Pot luck supper. Free event. Bring a savory or sweet dish to share. Great fun family event.

Sun 8th Dec  13:00-15:00 Christmas Wreath-Making. All materials supplied, willow ring, selection of greenery, cones, some ribbon. Please bring any special decoration, you want to add, secateurs, and wire cutters (pliers). Seasonal nibbles and refreshments supplied. Booking essential, please reply to burnturk.hall@gmail.com

Thu 2nd Jan 10:00              New Year Walk. Blow away the cobwebs and enjoy a walk round our local paths, followed by tea/ coffee and mince pies. Cost £4 per adult, children free.

Fri 24th Jan  18:30               Scots night. With haggis, tatties and neeps, and local entertainment. Please let us know if you would like to sing, recite or perform and come ready to join in with the sing-along! BYOB. Cost £10 per adult, children £5. Family of 4, £25.

Thu 13th Feb 19:30            Kellogg Durland: talk about an adventurer and social reformer, and his links to Fife coal mining. By Hugh Hoffman. Cost £4 per adult. Includes refreshments.

Thu   2 Jun   10:30 - 12:00     Special extended Coffee and Chat at Burnturk Jubillee Hall with Celebration Cake.  Burnturk Jubilee Hall's 125th Anniversary coincides with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee! The Hall was gifted to the community in 1897 by Hugh Veitch Haig of Ramornie - so we celebrated!

Sat    6 Aug     9:00 pm        "More Creatures of the Night": Meet at Prosen, Coaltown of Burnturk, to see the bats emerging from their roost. Up to 300 bats fly out between 9:30 pm and 10pm.

They are running a series of community storytelling and sharing workshops and events, facilitated by Sheila Kinninmonth. We all enjoyed a blether and shares stories from our local community.
