Fundraising: BKCT & Jubilee Hall
Latest news
University of St Andrews has donated £3000 from their Community Fund towards our Activities for Everyone project to restart our hall programme of activities after the closure for renovations. See Spring/Summer 2024 programme for further details. This includes two sessions of First Aid Training for the Community.

Burnturk and Kettlehill Community Trust is a volunteer led charity which runs the Jubilee Hall. We are funded by grants, hall hire fees, organised events & activities, and by donations. Many organisations have also generously made grants for individual items or projects. Major contributions towards the Regeneration & Recovery Project in 2023 are listed above. These funded the renovations including a small extension with access to the rear garden, a ramp at the front and accessible toilets, and improvements to heating, lighting and ventilation.
The Jubilee Hall is the only facility in the villages of Burnturk and Kettlehill. Our generous community and the friends of Jubilee Hall support it and its events by attending activities, baking, cleaning, giving volunteer time and donations in kind, giving funds and providing items for sale.
New furniture, tables and comfortable chairs for the Jubilee Hall was funded in 2022 by a Life Changes Trust Award from The National Lottery Community Fund (see image on right).
Fife Council Despite financial constraints Fife Council has for many years continued making a small recurring grant which recognises the value placed on our small hall. We also thank the Council for access to the Digital Fife free website service for community groups.
How can you support Jubilee Hall and the BKCT charity? Here are some ideas:
- Support our events by coming along and enjoying yourselves.
- Suggest events and activities you would like.
- Take part in raffles by buying a ticket or donating a prize
- If you do make one off or regular donations and are a UK tax payer, then please get in touch for a gift aid form as this allows the charity to reclaim a further 25p for every £1 donated. This also allows BKCT to participate in the separate Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme (GASDS) which means we can also claim gift aid on all the small donations at the hall without people needing to complete a form.
- If you would like to set up regular giving by standing order please get in touch for details.
- Recycle ink cartridges. Collecting ink cartridges is a surprisingly effective way to raise funds. Please leave them at the Hall. You can check if your ink cartridges would be eligible on the Recycle4charity website. Only some types of cartridges are wanted but for example some HP ones make us £1.25 each which adds up over a year. https://www.recycle4charity.co.uk/InkjetCartridges
Any donation is most welcome and can be made at the Jubilee Hall or by contacting burnturk.hall@gmail.com
Many thanks for all your support.
